Hens can display just like toms can. If it is at least 4 months old it is a hen.

Shes 5 months old and I've never seen her do that before

Hens can and do strut. Something set her off.

She looks very hen to me. Nice full set of feathers on the head at that age, most of my toms were bald by 3 months. Whether she ends up being a tom or a hen in the end you have a very gorgeous turkey!

I responded to your post. Don't worry though I used to be confused to when I just started using BYC
