Not to take over your topic but I have one quick question, what is the difference, if any, between hen and pullet? I hear both but wasn't sure if there was a difference.

I believe this is a hen. I have raised BR for a long time, and every one that I have bought or hatched out that has the darker colored feathers has been a hen while the lighter colored ones have been roos.
