Boy voice or girl voice? Audio files!

Both my female ducks made that noise as their voices broke.
One week after they made that noise then started throwing in full blown honks and quacks. Runner was 5 weeks when she started quacking properly and Campbell was 8 weeks old.

I would have said females based on the noise my critters make...but in saying that I have never raised drakes, so have no personal experience of a drake hitting "puberty", or what they sound like during this phase.

I have one girl that started honking early but my other girl sounds like this as she is
entering the Honking stage.. I would have said girls.....

I agree they sound like drakes to me. I have six females, and they all had the definite Quack! The raspiness is their voices changing from peeps to froggies. lol

They do sound like drakes, though the second one is slightly iffy. There's one way to find out for sure: give it two weeks!
