Boys or Girls: 2.5 mo Orpington Hybrids?

Could I get a barred cockerel out of two non-barred parents? One of my eggs was from these two, both Buff Orpington x Leghorn crosses themselves.

I think it’s possible but I’m not sure. I think it’s recessive and the white covers up a lot. That said, I think I see slight barring right here.

Oh my. Yes I see faint barring there. That's crazy! Thanks for pointing that out, totally changes what I might expect him to sire in the future...

That's not enough barring to develop a barred bird. Generations will dissolve any trace of the little bars from 1 parent.
