Boys or girls- Rhode Island Reds

They all look like little boys to me.

Yep, I am thinking all boys, too.

And I should know... in my small flock I have ended up with 5 myself and I watched them turn from hens to roos. When those feathers look like that (all pointy) they're turning into roos.

Next year, the chicks we buy will be sexed. I said that this year. But the feed store just kept drawing me in. And I got suckered.

But I like 'em all.

I am thinking I might keep the nicest looking one and get some
sexed RIR hens in the spring.

RIR roo's are great eating birds,, my last 1 was about 9 months old, tasted great and wasnt tough a bit
