Sometimes I get discouraged that mixed breeds get called "mutts". It feels like it has a negative connotation to me. You have some beautiful barnyard mixed chickens lol. Very pretty colors!!

Well, believe me, I am not politically correct; however, I believe in just having general respect for all people and all animals (within reason/common sense allowed) and if there is a "nicer" word to refer to something I mostly likely will choose that word. "Mixed breed" just sounds better to me than "mutt". I've heard a lot of people call animals mutt in an ugly way, as if they were less, so I guess my opinion is tainted by that. But I'm not downing anyone who uses it, honest. I guess it's just not my personal preference.
