I have not forgotten how hard it was to be a teenager. It was tough. We tend to say one thing, feel another, want a third, and do a fourth. It gets complicated fast.

Only for awhile. Right now, you are a hard mix of ready to leave, and not quite there yet. Its tough to be an early maturer, and I don't just mean physically, I mean its tough to be smart, reasonable, ready to make choices, but not allowed really yet.

I guess you'll have to trust that 1) your parents are trying to let go 2) they aren't ready to let go 3) you are ready to go 4) you want to go, but not just now anyway.

When you leave home, go to school or work, and get your own place, you'll feel ok in your own skin again, I promise. Those hormones that make us mature and want to leave are the very things that make us need to stay just a bit longer. We can make sybil look well adjusted at 16 and 17 and 18 for sure, and its mostly universal.

Yes it's probably one of the most awkward stages of your life cycle. Lately I can't even relate to most of my old classmates. The maturity level difference is actually saddening.
