BR/BO crosses?

They're beautiful!

I have some that are gold, almost partriage looking and some that have silver instead of gold. They're lightly barred. I'm pretty sure they'll be good layers because buff orps and barred rocks lay nice large brown eggs. Mine won't be old enough to lay for another few months (this fall

Let me try and get some good pictures of them tonight (weather permitting) and I'll post them for you. For now, here's a couple of pictures taken about a month ago:

Here's some right after they got out of that awkward intermediate phase when they first start growing their feathers:

Oh, they're so pretty!!!! I bought a dozen mutts a few weeks ago and they're the most adorable things!!!! I want to have a few pure bred hens/roos "just because" but as long as my fuzzies end up laying nice eggs ( and the boys are big enough for the plate) I'm going to be more than happy with them all!

SpeckledHen, yes they are!

I have a few boys too, even they are good looking.

Please note that this cross came from the rooster being the barred rock and the hens being buff orpintons. I'm not sure what the combo would look like if the opposite was done, probably some sort of sex-link (that's a guess, I don't know for sure).

What pretty babies!!! They almost resemble the Crele markings.

I have 16 BO eggs in the 'bator....I may have to get myself some BR eggs and have this mix!
