We bought our chicks over 5 weeks ago...assuming they are about 6 weeks old now. 4 of my 6 chicks had white spots on their heads. What do I look for to determine if they are BR or BSL roos? Will there be any obvious markings/coloring to determine one breed vs another or do I need to wait to see if any crow???

Do you have a picture or two?

Here is a pic of my BR roo, and one of my BR Pullet

some of these are of the same chicken.... basically trying to determine if there is anything I can watch for to help determine which breed I have.. I am almost certain 2 of the 6 I have are the BSL b/c they have colored out some red and they had NO spot. Therefore I am questioning if the barred ones are BSL roos..

so the yellow legs/black wash means they are BR? Maybe all girls?

To clarify my answer. BR have yellow legs. The black on the front of the legs will fade to all yellow as your BR pullets, yes BR pullets, age.
