BR or CM? Boy or girl?

Any links for more info on cuckoo marans? Whats the differences in the two? BR and CM that is.

Barred Rocks seem to have a whiter, more stripey pattern when compared to the Cuckoo Marans.
Barred Rocks have yellow legs - Cuckoo Marans have fleshy colored legs with grey on them, they can also have feathered legs.
Barred Rocks lay a light brown similar to a sexlink or a grocery store shade of brown egg. Cuckoo Marans lay darker eggs than Barred Rocks, but lighter than the other varieties of Marans.
Barred Rocks are somewhat bigger birds than the Cuckoo Marans (in my experience at least)

Would that explain why ive though my chick is smaller than i feel she should be? I was starting to question if she was a bantam of some kind.
