Posted some pretty rough pics in a different spot before I saw this one. Maybe this is a better pic. 4-5 weeks old chicks

If they are pure, all pullets. If questionable, the one to the left is a boy.

Pure?

The one on the left, it's tail feathers are noticeably longer but blunt on the ends. I thought I read somewhere they would be pointed if Roo.

Pure meaning 100% barred rock. If a barred rock roo is mated to another breed, it will be barred - and it will have pullet colouring. The colouring is very indicative of gender in pure barred rocks. Dark barring is pullet, light is rooster.

Example... Barred rock boys on the right and left of this picture - girl in behind. The one in front is confusing me right now. It seems to be darker barring, but the barring isn't as messy as the other two girls, and there is more white in her... Anyway.. Hope she is a girl, because she is the prettiest of all of them.
