BR Rooster?

Ok, here are pictures of what I think is a BR Rooster. What do you think? He doesn't look like his father.

It might just be me but he looks like a BR mix.

Are there any other possible crosses he could be besides pure BR?

Looks more like a Black Sexlink rooster, they look like barred rocks but are the result of crossing a Rhode Island Red rooster with a Barred Rock hen.

Your picture doesn't look like my old BR either. Yours looks solid grey. Mine is black and white barred.

That picture that was posted is of a heritage Barred Plymouth Rock, not a hatchery BR. That is what a BR is supposed to look like.

These are what a true bred, bred to the Standard Barred Rock male looks like.

OPs bird is a mixed breed rooster. One parent was barred, likely a rock, but he doesn't look pure Rock, too rangy even for a young cockerel.
