okay so i have seen much on the topic of this! i recently got 4 duck eggs instead of 3 and my incubator wont fit 4 and stay stable, so im burying it under the mountain an seeing if it will grow! its day two for me of this and im hoping it goes well! (also my ducks are Ancona ducks! black and white!)
day 1 my temp where the egg (being named little fish if it survives!) was 98.9-99.3 degrees throughout the day. where as my humidity stays around 45-65% so its pretty good!
day 2 my egg survived the first night! all was good and little fish stayed in place where it should be! it also survived work and my temp high was 99.5 and daily low for my body was 98.7. so all was good! i will post a picture of little fish when day 6-7 is around to see if he/she is truly going to be alive! i did do a quick looksy today with a good flashlight as instructed and i could barely make out a small circle forming! hoping this is a good sign! it was hard to see but it was there. we shall see i guess soon! also it seems the air sack is a bit smaller than i expected (might actually be normal sized but i am not too sure) but it looks okay, its where it is supposed to be.
