Several years ago I purchased 50 baby chicks from this breeder in texas. I have been breeding and maintaining the breed. I am very happy with the big brown eggs and quiet often they produce a double yolk eggs. Their temperament is really calm perfect for a smaller scale backyard. They have beautiful plumage that is a nice golden buffs color. They are considered a dual purpose chicken for both meat and eggs. I have around chickens for quite some time and I am truly pleased with their characteristics and everything.

I looked into these a couple of years ago, he was having problems with hatch defects. He was not able to supply any eggs or birds at that time, it was not looking good for this chicken. I have not looked since, so maybe he got it worked out.
Good luck finding some!

I have a small flock that have access to lots of green grass wherein they are able to roam free. I have not seen any fertility or hatching problems yet. So far I am really happy with that family
