Brahama Roo doesn't roost or scratch

I have a dark brahma Roo who's about 14 -16 weeks old. He doesn't roost, or scratch like a normal chicken would do. Is this a age thing by breed? He is rather large but I have a ladder to the roost for easy access an my brahma hen does fine at the roosting part.

As long as he is healthy it is most likely a personality thing.
