We have one brahma chick in our mix of almost 2 month old chicks. I read they are late maturing. Does that mean late feathering? All the other chicks are completely feathered out and the brahma is still mostly fuzz with wing feathers and neck feathers. I still bring in all the chicks in the house at night mainly because I am worried about her. Is this normal or is there something wrong with her?

I have 9 Easter Egger chicks that are about 8 weeks old, and all of them have been fully feathered since week 6 except for one. He STILL has some baby fluff! BTW, most late feathering chicks are roos.

I called the small farm we got "him" from and he said most likely a rooster since it is feathering so slow. We can go exchange for another chick the same age. So sad though as we are attached but I really just want hens. Hopefully the chicks will accept a new chick at this age. I also hope our sweetie isn't going to get eaten.
