Brahma colored EE ? Not very partridge anymore..( americauna EE)

NOT a leghorn!!!
He's a white Chantecler, a dual purpose breed from Canada. He weighed in at 8.5 pounds, and was a lovely boy. See the tiny comb and wattles? Very cold hardy, a nice feature here in Michigan. Brown eggs, not white like a leghorn would produce.
Cackle hatchery has very nice EE bantams, love them!
IMG_0649.JPG IMG_0411 (1).JPG IMG_0412 (1).JPG IMG_0414.JPG These pullets weren't full grown in these photos, as the rooster is in his picture. Nice birds, good egg color too.

I think EEs are hysterical with t

heir stance...periscope up lol like my profile that's my olive egger but yeah bantam we very interested.. not crazy about full size even tho I bought regular sized I want bantam next. I'm so in live with this chicken stuff and I've helped raise flocks but established not 1 day old to now.. I'm having a blast.. need cold hearty im in northern Maine brutal already.. have a question im going to forum it but do u live where supplemental heat assistance like brood lights for winter. I've been looking at those infrared ceramic heat emitters in place of one 150 w bulb and wondering if one of those and 1 brood light (also 150w) would supply more comfort.. they are doing super good not uncomfy (yup I already been out twice tonight it's 5 above 75% humidity) wind chill below zero but seems like one each may give a bit more than the 2 brood lights give..ugh wan't ro bring them all in lol...
Added a pic of my nh red that launches onto my upper back and Shoulders any chance she gets (I learned not to teach a chick to IMG_20191012_152151046.jpg do that apparently lol) cuz she scares the bejeezus out of me every time lol.. this is mouth lol

Having your approximate location on your profile helps!
Leghorn roosters will probably have frostbitten combs and wattles where you live, and coop heating can be a problem if your power goes out, and suddenly they are cold, and not acclimated to it.
I'd recommend looking at breeds known for cold hardiness; the Henderson's breed chart is very helpful here.
Phoenix ? I wouldn't think so, and the roosters take special housing too. Drool over them in photos, and pick something else, at least for now.
If your coop is properly ventilated, and sheltered from drafts on their roosts, they should be fine. Pictures of your coop and run here, please.

Thanks I'll add my location and I'm a person that Gates bring cold but I don't want to hurt my girls and power outages do happen I do have generator but I hate the cold so I think animals do too (yup had a horse that was a Russian bashkir (super thick curly hair) and felt bad lol.) . I'm so grateful for this site I've learned tons in 7 almost 8 months ... I'm having a blast and I'm proud of my birds I feel blessed plus they crack me up!!! I was his momma so he was ok with me but none else (have a thing with animals) I want my cockerel to have a bit of an attitude for the territory we are in...I have blk Aussies nh reds EEs (did have 2 comet pullets and an orp. pullet but fix got those before I knew what was happening...
