Hello, recently one of my buff brahmas hatched 2 chicks. One of the of the chicks stands out as it has blue legs. Now I do have porcelain d'uccles roosters in the pen, so I'm wondering if this chick could be a mix between my brahmas and the d'uccles?

Brahmas have one of the most unknown origins of mixes accepted by APA standards. I have no idea but want to throw this out there. Is it possible this is a dormant gene trait that your blue leg chicks ended up with? I'd like to hear others opinions.

For example, it's generally accepted Brahma was one of the mixes used to create the Jersey Giant, which does have this trait.

This could be the reason, I just never heard of this happening.
Well, genetics are funny thing, some humans are born with tails, never know what will happen. Doesn't mean any of this is the case, but at least you have one theory to start from haha
