it she a really poor quality Brahma or a really poor quality Delaware? or is there another breed that she could be? her coloring is Brahma but she has a straight comb and clean legs.

I got her from MPC.

As a new chick she looked like these Light Brahmas only clean legged:

At 4 weeks:

Thank you!

She looks like a columbian wyandotte with the wrong comb.

She is a bit too round for a columbian rock... same for light sussex....

But going by the body shape... wyandotte

I vote for Columbian Wyandotte too! She's a beauty! I have a single combed GLW- and from what I have read, breeders breed back to single combed hens (not roos) every once in awhile to keep the fertility high. Congrats - she's gorgeous - I'm ordering 2 CW in the spring.

Probrably got her size from whatever gave her that straight comb.

I got columbian wyandottes, light sussex, delawares... just not brahmas.... she really sticks out as a wyandotte body. My light sussex (the largest of this group) have a different shape to them... brahmas are big too, so are good Dels.... well, heck... so are good wyandottes. The two biggest roosters I have are Sussex and Wyandotte.

Does she lay? if the eggs are skinnier than they are long... wyandotte... if they are BIG then maybe sussex. I do know wyandottes lay patheticly sized eggs compared to their body size.

She doesn't lay yet, but I am hoping she will soon.

Since MPC does have CW and not any of the others she is probably a CW.

Thank you so much!

now if only this beautiful chicken would lay!!! what age do Columbian Wyandottes usually start?

my wyandottes laid at 24 & 26 weeks old- but you can tell better by the comb and wattle color- when they get dark red- she will be ready (hers still look a little pale in the photo).

Okay, seriously, WHY does everyone think she's a Columbian Wyandotte? She's single combed. . .

She's a Columbian Rock.
