Our year and half old Brahma Roo took to limping last week. Seems to favor one leg and hops around only putting light pressure on the "injured" leg. I can not see any visible injury or signs that he got caught in something. He is in an enclosed run with 3 goats (dwarf Nigerian wethers) everyone seems to get along so this hobbling around seems out of the blue. I have not tried to capture him yet, since once I got him, I wouldn't know what to do with him!
Can anyone suggest what to look for? I would rather not have to dispatch him but at the same time I don't what him to suffer.

Thanks

Pick him up and do a thorough inspection.

Any swelling? Scabs on the bottom of his feet?
Unusually warm to the touch?
How is his motor function? Is he able to extend/bend his leg/hip without resistence or pain?

I finally got the nerve up to grab the roo in the night. Very happy he was compliant as looking at the size of his legs and beak made me very aware that he could easily make me say OUCH!

I did not notice anything when looking at him. Nothing unusually warm or injured looking. He grabbed our fingers with his claws and did not show any pain when we moved his legs up and down. I have attached some photos, but since I didn't know what we were looking for, I am not sure how helpful the photos will be.

The toe to the right looks strange to me, however the same toe on his other foot looks very similar.
Thanks
