Brahma Roo?

So I ordered from McMurray Hatchery and checked 'yes' to the free rare bird. I think this is a dark brahma rooster but he certainly didn't look like one before now. He is 3 weeks old. He appears to have a rose comb although I didn't get a good picture of it. He is super friendly and super sweet. One of the barred rock females is picking on him. Any guesses as to what he/she might be?

It's still a bit too young to be sure. If it feathers in with solid black on the chest, it's a boy.

So there's a chance still that it could be a female? I really don't want a rooster. I would love it if he were a she!

I think you might have a Light Brahma. Looks like the Light Brahma hen i got from McMurray's. Still too early for me to make a prediction on gender. Hope you got a hen. Ours is very gentle and very tame. I hope to add at least 1 more Brahma to the flock next spring.

Yep, Light Brahma, too early to tell gender. Mr BrahmaRama- Nancy is beautiful!

Thanks! Nancy is beautiful! What should I look for in terms of determining whether we have a male or female. I'm excited to at least know the breed. I've been doing some research this weekend on the Brahmas, especially the light brahmas. Very interesting history.
