Brahma Rooster Question

We are on our second generation of Brahmas. Out of all our new chics, we only had one rooster. (miracle) He doesn't crower. (love to hear our roosters crow) My husband and I had a conversation and realized this rooster's father didn't crow very much. Is it the breed? All the roosters we have of other breeds I can crow at them, and they crow back.

Mine crow but not excessively. In the morning and then occasionally the roosters will have a crowing contest in the breeder coop. Plus they don't start crowing until they are about 7-8 months old.
