I have some light and Buff Brahmas I Don't know much about this breed. Does anyone know anything at all at these.

I have 4 pullets and two cockerals

How Big do they get?

They get HUGE. In fact they are the second heaviest breed of chicken. The roosters weigh roughly 12LBS. give or take. The breeder I got my hens from said hens should weigh 7 to 8 pounds. Personally I would like mine to weigh 8 to 9 pounds. Out of the three brahma colors the lights weigh the most then the buffs. These birds are definitely gentle giants. I love my brahmas. Brahmas can take up to two years to fully mature. Roosters are not aggressive toward humans. Watch out for scaly leg mites. I think because they have feathered shanks they get them easier. Brahmas only lay about 3 or four eggs a week. This is the breed I have decided to specialize in as of last year. Personally I think you should enjoy the breed.

I have found Brahmas to be on eof if not the best breed out there for grdens as they cant scratch up the ground well. I live in england and ahve found that my ladies lay around 4-6 eggs every week and the cockerels dont crow overly lound. and they look fantastic aswell.

am looking for some blue colobian brahmas hens possible a quadret
