So I may run into a conundrum- if we move it looks like the “yard” we will have dedicated to our ducks will be concrete! :barnie I have not actually seen this yard with my own eyes, but judging from the picture it looks like grassless is what I am dealing with. Shouldn’t be too big of a problem, but I know my (2) duckies love their grass to forage through! I was thinking of a few different options and this does looks like a nice size yard (still waiting on specific dimensions). Attached are some pictures for solutions to adding grass and their pond- which I plan to use their water on the grass and plants. I would lay a tarp under the planter for dirt not to sit on the concrete and put rocks around the pond for splashing, maybe the ramp from the pond leading up from the grass area with the rocks between... The stand up planter I would put cinder blocks under to make their coop and have room for a garden. Their current coop is cinder blocks so this would be a familiar thing for them. I would probably lay a tarp down to put the bedding on, maybe find a way to raise the floor (thinking bricks under tarp) so they wouldn’t be sitting in water if it rains. I added a picture of their current coop and pond set up- the pond is under the round, metal table. Currently their coop is raised on a dirt floor and the pond is above ground with a dirt/rock ramp leading up to it, but I will have to make some adjustments to ensure that it would be an easy clean up because it will not be a permanent home for more than 2 years. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I apologize for my poor photoshop skills. Haha but I think this helps clarify my image for the yard and coop.

Wait and see how things go.....What we think might work might turn out all wrong.....?
I have to make changes as I go because what was working one week ends up a nightmare the next week....
Best of luck and I hope you can figure out a great set up.....

As far as the raising of the floor, I would use 1 or 2 free pallets as their floor....not only will it keep them from standing in water, but also allow the water to flow and dry more quickly....they can also be moved rather easily if a more thorough cleaning is needed. Also, any concrete, brick, or rock substance not only holds heat, but cold too. Free pallets are available at many places, so it can be a very cheap fix.....ducks can step up on pallets rather easily.

I haven’t thought about that! My husband work has plenty of pallet I could salvage, thanks!
