Got the urge to start raising chickens by reading an article on bamboo growing. Guy kept his flock of chickens penned around his bamboo. The chicken bamboo grew better than the chicken-less bamboo. So, I started researching and one thing led to another.
I am now in the process of building an 8' by 48' chicken coop/run and an additional 3' by 50' covered fenceline for quail. My wife thinks I'm a little nuts but aren't we all?
Really want to raise some heritage birds and a few bantams. Don't really need the extra food/meat/eggs but I am sure it will be nice once it starts. Have the coop all drawn out, pvc ready for the water supply, and the conduit for the electricity. As soon as the weather cooperates, I will put the coop together.
So, I would like to thank everyone in advance for their input. The info I've read already has been extremely helpful.
