Thank u so much...it has been a lifelong dream..dont even have a coop yet..sometimes as I read..I get nervous about diseases...predators...etc..I will value the chickens life and health.. I am sure the joy of having them outweighs the fears?

I have no idea yet? Obviously a breed that will do well during the winters in Ontario. Any suggestions? I will not be using a light for heat for fear of fire risk.
