I believe you're right. I recall the legbar name when we bought them. Was really wanting to get some blue eggs. Guess I'll search for a pullet by that name, and hopefully I can get some.

I know it's hard. If you can't have or don't want roosters then rehoming or dispatching them are about all you can do. I grew up on a farm and have had to do that with more chickens than I can count but with ones kept more as pets it's not easy. When I first realized I got a surprise rooster with my last order of chicks, I tried to distance myself from him and not treat him as a pet to make it easier in case he didn't work out with his behavior. I've been lucky and while he crows quite a bit, otherwise he's been very helpful keeping the hens in line and respecting me. We are in a farm area and are allowed to have roosters and my neighbors haven't taken issue with him thankfully. I would struggle with it if I had to put him down now but we do what we have to do.
