Brand new coop?

I bought a metal shed many years ago and divided it in half and put a pop door on two sides. I also put a pen up and divided that also so each side had a pen for times when I'm not able to let them out.

If I was going to let them under mine----I would plan ahead----High enough so I can drive my electric wheel chair under it----LOL.

I've seen some crazy stuff they do with mobile homes. In one case near the NC coast after a big hurricane flooded badly, many of the mobile homes I saw in the area were raised 8' off the ground. It was quite something to see. I guess they all got federal $ to do that.

I do not know the details but had a Friend that was head set-up man at Clayton Homes----they set a lot of mobile homes up 6 and 8ft high----even double wides---like it was nothing to do for them. They got cranes to lift them up on the taller set-ups.

I guess that's relative. I have a shed like his and I really like being able to open the whole end with one motion. Those doors are light as a feather so it's no effort. And it's wonderful having the whole end open like that.

I didn't imply the door was heavy.
to me it would be more convenient to just push open a walk through door and leave the OH door open all the time except at night or when it got cold.
how do you keep the chickens from running out when you open the OH door ?

Mine's not used as a coop. Workshop. I guess used as a coop you'd have to have the door exiting into the run
