(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am brand new to chickens! I got my 1 week old babies about 5-6 weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 6 little ladies!
(3) What breeds do you have?
We were told we got a mixture of legbars, bielefelders and "mixes". We got a "rainbow layer pack"
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I've always loved animals and had a lot of birds growing up (parakeets, cockatiels, cockatoos). I've always lived with cats and dogs, reptiles, rabbits, chinchillas - you name it, we probably had some of them at some time! We got a little bit of land years ago and I've been slowly learning how to get more self sustainable.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Video games, crochet, reading, gardening, collecting too many cats
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a married mom to one kiddo (8 years old). We have 3 cats, and now 6 chickies.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? 
I found BYC through obsessively googling information about chickens before I even got them. It's been a really great resource for me to get questions answered! I finally joined because it seems like such a supportive place to get information and I'm brand new with little dinos.
