Brand new...quail?!

Hi everyone! Thrilled to finally be able to join, found an allowable option for backyard birds and hoping to someday start a tiny flock of quail!

Thank you so much, I didn't even realize there was a separate quail forum! I had posted in the coop forum a thread about trying to figure out how to setup a coop/run for quail. Should I move it?

YVW. You can, it would get more attention I think. Most people don't keep quail in a coop. Usually they're in cages and wouldn't use a coop anyway. I kept mine in an outdoor aviary. They don't lay eggs in a nest like chickens so it was an egg hunt every day. Inconvenient, which is why most people don't do it. Lots of people use large cages similar to rabbit hutches.
