Brand new to chickens

Hey! I'm brand new to keeping chickens! We got our 6 chicks 1 week ago. That's the most we can have on our lot. I don't know what breeds we have. 3 are yellow and 3 are brown!

We haven't built the coop yet! I know, we gotta get on that! We got our chicks from tractor supply. I've always wanted to have a small farm/homestead and to be more self-sufficient, but just making do with what we have! So, chickens and a garden it is!

In about a week they will have outgrown that tote. The brown chicks appear to be red sex links of some sort. I hope that I am wrong, but I fear that the yellow chicks may be Cornish X.
