Brand new to the world of chickens!!

In May, we purchased a coop and 3 chicks. We aren't quite sure what breed we have. And as this point, we believe one to be a rooster and are uncertain about the other 2. We are a family of five and have 2 indoor dogs. The chickens are our attempt to experience country life while living in a subdivision.

Thanks!! And that is what I was afraid of!! So now what to do?? Get rid of the roosters??Start over with new chicks hoping they are hens?? Out of the 6 that were purchase, we took 3 and neighbors took the other 3. Theirs were taken by a raccoon and ours have lived, but are roosters!! LOL First experience with chickens has been a trip!!!

I can only tell you what I would do and I don't keep roosters. Id eat them or rehome them.

The top one is identical to my barred rock cockerel who by chance is very easy going compared to his father who was meaner than a snake.
