Hi everyone!!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- I'm totally new to having chickens! We got our first chicks about 3 weeks ago!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- We have 6 chicks. Due to zoning ordinances where we live, we can have 5 hens, no roosters. Our chicks are straight run so time will tell how many we end up with out of this bunch!
(3) What breeds do you have?
- Buff Orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
-They are so much fun to watch and I love watching our kids with them! The eggs will be a bonus one day as well.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
-I'm a mom of two girls, that's a hobby in itself!
I love decorating and spending time outdoors in warm weather.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- My husband and I have two young girls, and an old hound dog!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
- I found BYC from researching on Google! I've had lots of questions from day one, and BYC almost always popped up! There seems to a wealth of knowledge here so I decided to join in!
