Lark barely heard, as she was busy making the lights flicker on and off obsessively. As Lark reached up to wipe her sweaty brow, something caught her eye. The brand was glowing.
Sweaty brow forgotten, the girl focused on the brand.
Sure enough, she wasn't imagining things. Red flashed; all different shades of it. Bright red to brick red. Sequenced, as if planned out. All Lark could do was stare, dubiously, sizing what the heck this thing on her wrist was.
Then, the adventurous teenager had an idea. Stretching out her arm, she aimed towards the fuse box. Electric currents, just as before, curled through her spine, bolted through her arm, and shot out of her fingers.
The lights in the cafeteria flickered on.
Lark stared for a moment, and opened her mouth.
"Cool."
"Well then...." Wintent trailed off.
