hi what will a brassy back roo over BBRED hens give me ?
i got some really funny looking colors form them , and i thought that brassy backs were bbreds with the black gene , am i right ?
i will post pics later

I don't know the answer to your question, Really I'm just bumping you up to see if someone can help you.
I have been aking questions on BBrReds myself, I really like that color. I've been told that the partridge variety is a BBrRed. I thinking of trying to create one that looks kinda sorta like a Plymouth Rock, since that is almost favoerite breed.
Well, I hope someone comes along to answer your question. If not try PMing RAREROO of Henk69.

Brassy-Backs should be Black Breasted Red with recessive Black added.

But that is not to say that you wont get other, "off" colors when you breed them back to BB-Red.

How long have you had these birds? Do you know if they where bred true to color? What type of, "off" color are you getting? By chance is there Silver showing up in the wing, hackles, saddles, or breast?

What are the chances that your Brassy-Back is out of a Brown Red?
