Dark Brahma Roo X Light Brahma Hen

I'm surprised he doesn't express Db. I'm trying to figure why.
That year, we hatched 8 offspring of the hamburg. 2 from the white sapphires, 2 from the houdan, and 4 from the brown leghorn. All except 1 of the leghorn x had the hamburg body build. All 4 from the leghorn got the leghorn coloring, the females looking a bit dark. The 2 houdan x were black split to mottled with 1 bleeding the mottling through in subsequent adult moults. 2 of the leg x were cockerels, the only cockerels in that hatch. We were battling cold temps to collect the eggs for the incubator.

And the leghorn color carried on through to the next generation, picking up a beard and some light bleeding of orange through the black breast. I don't know if he picked up the blue or brown egg genes from the mother (green eggs) as I haven't done a hatch since. The roo is now 2 years.

No, I mean a Dark Brahma Rooster. Not black.
This was the outcome of a gold partridge male to a light female
We've gotten the male coloration in 4 different hatch with different parents while the female coloration from one pair all came out looking like her below where as the other pairs birthed females of different coloration
