Braun ear thermometer for eggshell temp.

I purchases a braum thermoscan with exac temp after somebody recomended it. I cannot find the info he gave me now. Has anybody used this. My thermometers are showing higher them what this is measuring my eggs as. How trustworthy is this method?

You want to measure air temp in the incubator ....not egg shell temp(except out of curiosity).

Actually, this is a good tool to use. I use it when incubating raptor eggs. However, incubating poultry eggs typically is more forgiving where looses of 20% are considered acceptable. Here is a link:
