I tried to get the chick out but it was too late. It died in its shell. It was positioned wrong. Something went terriby wrong with this whole hatch. I ended up with 4 out of 14. Bad day. The other eggs are still in the hatcher but I candled them and do not see or hear anything.
The exact same thing happened to me! :aww
I had a chick that looked like it would hatch but didn't. By this morning it was gone.
I opened it up to make sure, and it was completely formed with the head tucked in the inside of itself. Never had a chance poor thing! 5 hatched so far 4 of which I had to help. I wish I intervened here too. But decided to let nature take its course. I have 3 left in the bator that show no signs of activity. Today was there due date. I've candled and listened. But still nothing. I think I'll have to invest in a stethascope.
