Bread

I discovered by accident that my RIR is a fiend for bread! Prefers soft french bread or day old donuts (minus icing) but will eat ANY bread. Is this normal or bad for her? She likes it so much I feed her regular food first and save the bread for the treat because she won't eat anything else if she has bread. I worry about her choking.

Bread is pretty much like candy to them.
Of course they will prefer "junk" food over healthy food.

I don't blame her...I like bread too! especially French bread but as @KikisGirls has said and the link given will change your mind on the matter.

I think every chicken I've ever had has liked bread. There are lots of healthier treats but I do give mine the stale ends of my homemade bread about once a month (unless DH gets to it first...he loves bread too).
