BREAK OR SPRAIN?

was a hip dislocation mentioned? I really don't know but I wonder if it could happen from mating? @Miss Lydia @Isaac 0 what do you think about this?
No they didn’t say anything.. but what’s also concerning is that his leg/hip makes a strange clicking/cracking sound now when he moves it ☹️

Call them and ask them what’s going on and can you get a copy of the X-ray .

His left hip (on the right) doesn’t look like it’s in place? His right joint is snug in the socket.. but the left one seems slightly out of place and higher.. if anyone could give advice please

I can speak to a sprain one of my young ducks had recently - she was in pain and you could tell but she didn't have any trouble running on it and visual/feel inspecting said nothing was out of place or broken. But she wasn't in that kind of distress just seemed like a tenderness while walking.

I feel like he needs some serious attention/soon.

You really have to be trained to read xrays. Your best bet is take the xray to another vet for a second opinion.

Thank you everyone. The vet had to send the xrays to a radiologist and we found today that my drake has quite large testicles. His left one is very inflamed and swollen and pushing on nerves, resulting in his leg pain. So trying to contain him until his hormones subside and swelling goes down.

My goodness so just keeping him from breeding will help? Did they give him anti inflammatory med?
Yeah but his last day on meds is tomorrow. He only has a brother. I just have the 2 drakes. But I’m trying to keep him calm 🙂
