breaking up setting hen

I have a couple hens wanting to set and I'm breaking them up. Have them isolated in another area. how long does it take to break them up?

It probably depends on how determined the bird is.

Yeah, depends on the bird. Some of those guys are so stubborn they'd starve themselves to death for chicks while wet in a open bottom wire cage while you're trying for months on end to break them. I usually give up and give the broody a chick.

Yeah. I used to have one that lived in the nest. Just leave her alone - she's happy.
