Yes, females can be white with bits of red like that. Your pullet reminds me of the color of Red Shouldered White Yokohama hens. (I do not think she is part Yokohama. I just think she has a similar pretty coloring.)pictures at 8 weeks... have noticed some red leakage on the lighter ones wings. Can you have pullets with that kind of red leakage?
Cool. Thanks for the information. I had never heard of the White Yokohama, but I see what you are talking about with the coloring. Here they are now at 13 weeks.Yes, females can be white with bits of red like that. Your pullet reminds me of the color of Red Shouldered White Yokohama hens. (I do not think she is part Yokohama. I would say now that the buff one is a boy but not so sure.Cool. Thanks for the information. I had never heard of the White Yokohama, but I see what you are talking about with the coloring. Here they are now at 13 weeks.
Yeah @cherrynberry might be able to help with the genders though!I’ve been watching the buff one for a while now for any signs of being a cockerel. So far behavior is pullet-like and I haven’t seen any saddle feathers at 13 weeks. The comb was a little suspect at first but someone mentioned it is probably a modified pea comb. Crossing my fingers that the buff one is a pullet.
Both still pullets!Cool. Thanks for the information. I had never heard of the White Yokohama, but I see what you are talking about with the coloring. Here they are now at 13 weeks.
