These are my coworkers chicks. All 8 weeks old. I don't know the breeds, she got them all at Meyer Hatchery. We live close enough that she just drove down there with her kids and let them pick them out. I know the pictures aren't the best, they are what she sent me. I'm thinking the dark black and white one is a cockerel. Any other thoughts on breed or gender?

I had a breed expert help me with these. #6 is a Welsummer or Brown Leghorn. Wait for ear lobe color.

Third one (red) is a Production Red.

5 is an Exchequer Leghorn cockerel

7 is a sapphire gem
All others are EEs

I agree with the breed guesses, but I think some correspond to different birds. I think that's the case with the order you have posted the photos here, at least. The bird in the 4th photo looks like your production red, while the bird in the 3rd looks like your welsummer/brown leghorn. The bird in the 6th photo looks like an EE

It is possible the pictures got switched around

I looked up the Exchequer Leghorn and apparently they are very similar to the Ancona. Both are Mediterranean chickens originating from Italy and lay white eggs. The Ancona is slightly larger and are more black with white markings. The exchequer are more white with black markings.

So there ya go! I learned something new today.
