I was told she is a light brahma hen (white one obviously), she is about 4 months old in the picture. and about 7lbs!!!! easily twice the size as the rest of the flock. and about 3 weeks ago she has started what one might call crowing. not really a pleasant sound. more of an attempt to crow. she is not aggressive towards any one or the other hens just dominant. its an all hen flock and I have been told by many that hens will do that. she wont crow all day just between 6am -8am.... there are also other neighbors with chickens and roosters so I would guess that she hears the others and tried to copy them?

I would hate for her to be a he. then we would have to change her name. Ms. Beakley.

the other one to possibly find the breed for is the other red hen. we had purchased four ameraucanas but one is not the same as the rest. she is very shy and doesnt like her picture taken. she is between the ameraucancas in the second picture and is hiding behind Ms Beakley in the third picture. any ideas on her breed as well?

anyways here are some pics. I can get some better ones this weekend but this is what I have for now

Well thats what i was figuring. Guess its Mr beakley from now on....

Hes going to stick around. Very docile and friendly. Likes getting picked up and will even come sit with you when your outside. Just a big ol boy. Is it true a light brahma roo can get 13+ lbs?

yes, but there are many breeds that can get that big. They are a big breed
