Breed and or gender help appreciated

Google says the iridescence on the feathers is the breed, not 1 sex or another. Are you saying he said that grey bird is jersey giant!?!?!

Yeah, that’s what he thought anyway. But the chicks were only about 3 weeks old at the time. Do you think it might be something different? That’s good to know about the color not being specific to the gender, we can’t keep any roosters. But out of 11 chicks we have only had one for sure rooster that we got rid of. The rest look like hens to me so far.

The grey to me looks like my own sapphire gems. This is one of my gems you can compare yours to.

I’m wondering if anyone could help identify the breed of theses chicks, gender as well if possible. I’m new to this and excited to see these chicks grow, but also curious to know what to expect. We won’t be able to keep any males so hoping to get some info earlier on if possible so we can prepare our kids for the worst. They are all 2 to 3 weeks old. All the darker ones we hatched ourselves and the two lighter ones we bought from the store listed as “hatchery rare” just for fun. Here are the pictures.

Chicks 1-3 - No Names yet. Much smaller than the other chicks of the same age and one has one white spot on one wing. All look very similar

Well you certainly have a great selection of variations. One seems to be a lavender mix. Really cute. Love the mohawk on the one chick!

Yes. I would catch them in a towel and carefully open/prode the "sexual" area. It will be an obvious descovery. Sorry. Didn't know how to word this.

You're not going to see anything on the "sexual area" of a 4 week old.

Please do not do this. The only thing you could possibly accomplish with that is hurting them.

Agreed! Chickens have no visible genitalia. Attempting a “viewing” will injure the bird.

Here are one of each of our white leghorn and brown sexlink. They are about 18 weeks old. Any thoughts on when we will get eggs? Or do either look like roosters at this point? The white leghorns combs are surprisingly floppy. Thanks for any input.
