Breed and Sex?

It's just a velcro wrap. It bothered my rooster occasionally and he'd walk backwards like trying to get it off but overall bothered him none overall. Sadly recently lost him to a dog. He was a pretty light Brahma.
i had to put it on twice as the first time wasn't tight enough to cut down the volume enough. Just put it on, watch him awhile to make sure he's breathing normally, eating, drinking and such.

OK, thank you so much, I'll do whatever I can to try and keep ... him.. haha, still weird to call her a him.

Definitely an easter egger cockerel. You can see he has saddle feathers coming in in the second picture. He's pretty

Sorry no doubt about it, that's a cockerel. Aside from the saddle feathers that's a male specific pattern. No females will have this pattern.

I appreciate your reply, I only have 4 chickens and I didnt anticipate having to deal with a rooster... guess I am now =) thank you

Glad to help. Even if you buy pullets when buying chicks you've got a 20%-30% of getting a cockerel.

well I bought 4 and 1 turns out to be cockerel so appears your numbers are spot on! LOL
