Can someone please tell me what breed their mother is and what the chicks are called from this cross. Sexing the chicks would be great too!

"Barnyard Mix" is what the chicks are.

Sorry, I don't know about the mother's breed, and the chicks themselves are too young to be sexed reliably--it will become much more clear over the next few weeks and months.

I don't want to sound lame but what is a barnyard mix(does it mean they are not considered a breed? Does that make them mutts?)

Yes, that would be another term.

A "mix" of whatever chickens were in your "barnyard" (or yard, or coop) is a "barnyard mix." It means about the same as "mutt," but it sounds a little fancier.

Not really, it's just a catch-all term.

The term "Easter Egger" is similar, but slightly more specific: an Easter Egger chicken will usually lay eggs that are some shade of blue or green, with a few laying in shades of brown. When someone collects eggs from a flock of Easter Eggers, it looks a bit like they went egg-hunting on Easter.

Not always, EE are a mix so they can have any color legs, any color feathers. They are a mix. Just like a 'barnyard mix' is a mix of anything so they can look like anything. Mutt, mix, mixed breed are just other names.

Not araucana or ameraucana. A lovely little eadter egger (bird of mixed breeding with blue egger heritage)
