i got my girl her babies. i talked to some show people in the area and they informed me that barred rocks were in short supply as show birds in this area. i found here 4 pullets that were 2 weeks old. they are now in her brooder and i started her coop. my wife had her heart set on silkies so now i think she will be getting her own as well. i have created monsters!

My choice would be D'uccle!
Ours is a spunky, spoiled little sweetheart who stands her ground to our much larger girls lol!
The one silkie we have turned into a cockerel. And he is a butthead. :eyeroll: But apparently this isn't normal. He bites! Going to work and explaining what the marks on my hands gets me laughed at haha.

must be more "normal" then we think. ive had 2 and they both are like that. the hens are sweethearts though
