Well, the story goes....he asked my husband if we wanted any chickens because he’s giving some of his away. He mentioned that he had some blue Cochin bantams & some frizzles. He sent a pic showing the grey frizzle, & another black frizzle that had red wattles & comb. I told him I definitely wanted both of those guys, & 3 blue Cochin hens. The night he brought the chickens to my husband at their work, 3 were in dog carrier, 3 were in an apple orchard box. The 2 cochins & the Japanese mix were in one box together, & the 2 frizzles & small black rooster were in another together, the black frizzle isn’t the same one from the pic because this one has NO red wattles or comb. They didn’t even bother to add any of the blue Cochin hens we DID ask for. He told my husband he put 2 “hens” & 1 rooster in each box. He thought the grey frizzle was a female. He also told my husband that the roosters were just starting to crow & that they’re 4 months old, even though only the jap mix is the one crowing. The Cochin female has scissor beak, the jap mix looks like his tail feathers has been plucked out, & they all smelled so bad. Were they said to be pullets?
Did I mention he (or his wife) didn’t put in any of the blue Cochins that I asked for?

I’ll look into that. I’m trying so hard not to get attached to them, but they’re just so tiny & cute!!
