Breed? Gender? Need help

He's what you thought The feather pattern could debatably be off a bit, but that's common with hatchery birds and the mottling will develop with age

Or he could be a mix of two colors.

He doesn't have the right coloration.

Mille fleur is mottling on buff columbian. He's certainly buff columbian, the mottling should come with age He's from TSC which means he came from a hatchery and isn't a random mix

I suppose i'm wrong, My Mille fleur was a lot more white after her second moult.

You made a good point about the color! When birds are coming from Hoover's there is a big variance in appearance He could maybe lack the mottling gene I guess. Mottling is know for coming in later so I have hope lol

I once got a d'uccle that had no spots or boofy cheeks... I thoght it was a mix, but it was definitally born from two d'uccle parents so I don't know what went wrong.
